“I am ecstatic to say that after nearly 5 years of completely pointless lounging around on a federally funded sabbatical, I am now completely free and loving life back in England. Splitting my time between Suffolk and London, I am extremely fortunate to have been asked by a good friend of mine to assist with some of his businesses. This is proving to be an absolute joy as I have rather missed the business of business, and am extremely grateful to have been given the chance to redeem myself and add some value so quickly after being freed from captivity. I am under no illusion that I must be somewhat of a pariah after all the legal endeavors of the US Govt but I do hope I can bring something valuable to those that I work with, and the overall performance of the businesses I am asked to help. If I can do that then I should be able to slowly recover my reputation. That is the plan anyway.

Just in case you are reading this for the first time, I should just say that contrary to what might feature in a google name search for me, I did not steal or embezzle anything from anyone. I did, however, make some awful business decisions whilst under intense and relentless pressure from the IRS. These decisions were intended to prevent losses for people, including the IRS, but they had the opposite effect. As a result some extremely talented and loyal people that I worked with suffered losses. For this I am deeply, deeply sorry. It goes without saying that once they let me out of this ridiculous place, I will be doing all possible to make amends.

I did manage to make excellent use of my 1,571 days in captivity and have come out in much much better shape mentally and physically than I have even been. My plan is to now make use of this in being a much better father to my long suffering children, to help as many businesses as possible transform their performance, and ultimately start to buy underperforming companies with a view to improving all aspects of what they do.

One step at a time though. For now I am just enjoying the freedom to go to the shop and buy some chocolate whenever I want, and to drink delicious coffee all day. Ah, the small things in life.

I have been staggered by the incredibly positive reception I have received from almost everyone so thank you. It makes a huge difference.
